Services for James M. Chote, 82, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Haddock and Rev. Ken Bevel officiating. Burial was in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.He died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at his home in Ralls.
He was born April 20, 1921, in Ralls, TX. He married Anna Louise Lewis on Sept. 14, 1940, in Crosbyton.
He was a Ralls High School graduate, a farmer and member of the Emma Masonic Lodge #931. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and charter member of the Scottish-Rite Consistery of Lubbock. He served as a staff sergeant in the Army during WWII. He had lived in Ralls all his life.
Survivors include; his wife Ann, a brother, Nelton Chote of Ralls; a sister, Jean Herrington of Beaumont; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Scott Carlisle, Skipper Carlisle, Joe Ben Chote, Chris Lewis, Jason Whittle, Matt Whittle, Tyson Whittle, Nathan Whittle.
The family suggests memorials to Vista Care Hospice, 7606 University Ave., Ste. C, Lubbock, TX 79423, or the Ralls First Baptist Church.

Services for Anna Louise "Ann" Chote, 87, of Ralls will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 18, 2008 in the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Haddock and Rev. Ken Bevel officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Mrs. Chote passed away October 14, 2008 in Crosbyton. She was born May 5, 1921 in Ryan, Oklahoma to the late Bedford and Helen (Stuart) Lewis. Ann moved to Ralls in 1923 from Oklahoma and was a 1939 graduate of Ralls High School.On September 14, 1940 she married James M. Chote in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2003.
She was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society and the Ralls Chamber of Commerce. She was an accountant in Ralls, Lubbock and Seminole from 1949 to the present.
Ann is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and by a host of loving friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 4 PM to 5 PM at the funeral home.
