Rosary of Gila M. Salas Charles, 68, of Ralls were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 1996, in St. Michael´s Catholic Church in Ralls with Tony Flores, deacon of the church, officiating.

Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 196, in the same church with the same officiant.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died at 8:10 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 28, 1996, in Lubbock´s St. Mary Hospital following an illness.

She was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Hobson, TX, and married Claudio Charles. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael´s Catholic Church. She moved to Ralls from Robstown in 1954.

Survivors include her husband, Claudio Charles of Ralls; one son, Estevan Garcia, Jr., of Idalou; two daughters, Petra Ramirez of Selma, CA, and Janie Nieto of Hollister, CA; three brothers, Fidencio Salas of Plainview, Auraliano Salas of Hale Center, and Bonifacio Salas, Jr., of Dallas; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
