Services for Ruby Chandler, 67, of Dickens were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2003 at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Horn, chaplain of VistaCare Family Hospice, officiating.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.
She died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
She married Del Chandler on Jan. 17, 1980, in Crosby County.
She was born May 28, 1935, in Memphis, Texas.
She was a member of Dickens Baptist Church. She moved to Dickens in May 2001 from Pawhuska, Okla. She was a former resident of Ralls. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Auston.
Survivors include her husband, Del Chandler of Dickens; two sons, Carl Taylor of Ropesville and Jimmy Stone of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Theresa McCauley and Susan Thrasher, both of Ralls; two stepsons, Bobby Chandler of Plainview and Darrell Chandler of Canton, Texas; two step daughters, Karen Stoker of Plainview and Mendy Troxtell of McKinney; three brothers, Calvin Auston and W.T. Auston, both of Phoenix, AZ., and Mike Auston of Houston, TX; one sister, Ethel Rauch of Fairbanks, AK; 24 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
