Clonnie Bell Chambless

Funeral services for Clonnie Bell Chambles, 91, longtime Ralls resident who moved to Wichita Falls nursing home 20 days ago, were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church here with Dr. Billy Burke, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chambless died at 2 a.m. Friday at the Wichita Falls nursing home after a lengthy illness.

She was a native of Tennessee and married Alfred Pleasant Chambless in Taylor, August 23, 1908. He died on Oct. 3, 1975.

She lived in Ralls from 1968 until she moved to Wichita Falls.

Survivors include a son, Arvie of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Alyce Clevenger of Mt. Vernon, 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
