Services for Nora Casillas, 54, of Ralls were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 1997, at Templo Nueva Vida Church in Ralls with the Rev. Onessimo Acosta, pastor and Rev. Leon Vasquez, her father, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Nora Casillas died at 11:34 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 1997, at St. Mary´s Hospital after a short illness. She was born Oct. 1, 1942 in Spur. She married Antonio (Tony) Casillas Jan. 19, 1962, in Floydada. She was a member of Templo Nueva Vida Church, and she was a housewife. She moved to Ralls in 1960 from Spur.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Casillas of Ralls; her father and mother, Leon and Eloise Vasquez of Ralls; a son, Otto Hernandez of Plainview; six daughter, Mary Gibson, Debbie Dunton, Antonia Morales and Nora Gail Pecina all of Lubbock, Dolores Fernandez of Lockney, and Naomi Beltran of Ralls; four brothers, Leandro Vasquez, Pat Vasquez and Juan Vasquez all of Ralls, and Alfred Vasquez of Las Cruces, NM; eight sisters, Connie Garcia of Ralls, Cecila Rios of Modeso, CA, Juanita Kay Valdez of Joliet, IL, Lupe Romero of Lubbock, and Irma Sanchez, Margie Valerio, Denise Cuellar, and Norma Lara all of Spur; 23 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Antonio Casillas, age of 71 went home to be with the Lord on May 27, 2012. He was born on December 30, 1940 in Lockhart, Texas to Maximo and Francisa Delgado Casillas. He married the love of his life, Nora Vasquez on January 19, 1962.

Antonio was a member of Freedom Church in Spur, Texas. Antonio was a farm laborer all of his life. He enjoyed family gatherings and going to the State Fair every year. His hobbies were fishing, when he could and watching the Dallas Cowboys football games. He also enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and Pan Dulce.

Antonio is survived by seven children; Mary Gibson of Spur, Texas; Otto Hernandez of Plainview, Texas; Dolores Casillas of Plainview, Texas; Naomi Beltran of Jayton, Texas; Debbie Cadena of Spur, Texas; Antonia Morales of Jayton, Texas and Nora Gail Garza of Afton, Texas. He is also survived by one sister Margarita Garza of Plainview, Texas and a brother Ralf Casillas of Floydada, Texas. Antonio has 32 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

Antonio was preceded in death by his wife Nora Vasquez Casillas and his parents Maximo and Francisa Delgado Casillas; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren and on brother Victor Casillas.

Visitation and a prayer service will be from 7 to 8 pm on Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Campbell Funeral Home in Spur, Texas. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 30, 2012 at the Freedom Church in Spur, Texas with Kevin Keltz officiating under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Ralls Cemetery on Hwy 82 in Ralls, Texas.
