Christene Maupin Cash, 87, formerly of Lubbock, passed away in San Antonio on Friday October 6, 2006. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday October 11, 2006 at Franklin-Bartley Chapel and burial will follow in the Ralls cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 5:30-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
Christene was born on August 8, 1919 Durant, Okla. She celebrated 57 years with the love of her life, Aulvie Cash, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was an active member of 82nd and Ave. V Church of Christ until moving to San Antonio to be nearer her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Baker and husband, Donald of Falls City; two granddaughters, Kayla Shiplette and husband, John of San Antonio and Melissa Fisher of Austin; two great-grandsons, John and Joshua Shiplette; two brothers, Hershel and James Maupin and their wives and families; one brother in law, C.D. Cash and his wife and family; her brother, Wade Maupin's family, who passed away in 1967.
She is so loved by all her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
