Services for Bill Ray Carpenter, 71, of Ralls were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 5, 1991, in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Cain of Calvary Baptist of Lubbock and Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Mar. 3, 1991, in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Breckenridge and moved from Floydada to Ralls in 1925. He had been a co-owner of Carpenter Cleaners. He was a member of the Ralls Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Avion Club of West Texas and New Mexico.

Survivors include two brothers, Medlin of Plainview and Harry of Ralls.
