Funeral Here Tuesday For 14 Year Old Youth
Last rites for Ronaldo Cantu, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Cantu of Ralls were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Ralls, with the Rev. Inez Aleman of Ralls officiating, assisted by the Rev. Daniel Hernandez of Lorenzo.Burial will be in the Ralls Funeral Home under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home.
Young Cantu was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Crosbyton hospital at 3:50 p.m. Saturday where he was taken after he became ill and collapsed in Ralls.
Justice of the Peace F.V. Jordo of Crosybton is said to have ordered an autopsy, to determine the cause of death.
Survivors include his parents Carlos Cantu Sr. and Maria L. Cantu, brothers and sisters Dora C. Garcia of Petersburg, Lucia C. Felan of Plainview, Carlos Cantu Jr. of Vietnam, Noelia Cantu of the home, Yolanda C. Ybanes of Grapevine and Diana, Ruben and Gloria Cantu of the home; four nephews and one niece; his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jose Longoria of Beeville, and great-grandmother Santos R. Arriola.
He was born at Beeville, Texas February 18, 1957.
