Obituary

Nola Alice Caddell, a resident of the Caprock Community since 1928, was claimed by death at 9 a.m. Sunday in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a prolonged illness. She was 84.

Memorial services for Mrs. Caddell were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ralls First Baptist Church. The Rev. Floyd Haddock of Seagraves and the Rev. Lee fuller, pastor of the Ralls church, officiated.

Interment was made in Ralls Cemetery, under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

The former Nola Alice Bishop was born May 12, 1900, in Rising Star. She was married to Leilan Caddell on Dec. 23, 1925, in Scurry County.

The family moved to Caprock Community in 1928 from Scurry County.

Mrs. Caddell was a member of the Baptist Church and the Caprock Quilting Club.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Delton Caddell of Caprock; two daughters, Miss Lenora Caddell of Caprock and Mrs. Norene Woodard of Ralls; two brothers, Marvin Bishop of Brownwood and R.O. Bishop of Mountainair,N.M., a sister, Mrs. Lela Grant of Ralls; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

RALLS (Special) — Services for Leilan Caddell, 84, of Caprock will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Fisher County and moved to Caprock in 1928. He married Nola Alice Bishop in 1925 in Scurry County. She died in 1984. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Delton of Caprock; two daughters, Lenora Caddell of Caprock and Norene Woodard of Ralls; a brother, Perry of Levelland; two sisters, Wanda Gilbert of Odessa and Joy Alexander of Snyder; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
