Richard Butler Services for Richard Butler, 92, of Lorenzo will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 1, 2006 at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Williams and Rev. Norman Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Richard passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the Ralls Nursing Home. He was born May 30, 1914 in Quinlin, Texas to the late Frank and Barbara (Christopher) Butler. On June 29, 1935 he married Elvia Arlene Stone in Emery, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2001.

He moved to Lorenzo in 1963 from Lubbock and was a farmer.

He is preceded in death by a son; Benny Butler on July 5, 1995 and three grandchildren. Survivors include; three sons; Elzia Butler of Gunbarrel, Richard Butler of Amarillo, Ronnie Butler of Kaufman, three daughters; Wynonia Westbrook of Idalou, Sue Williams and Jo Ann Daniel both of Lubbock, two brothers; Leb Butler of Grand Saline, Norman Butler of Grand Prairie, a sister; Letha Stone of Edgewood, 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be great grandsons; Ryan Marshall, Kyle Marshall, Chris Meinzer, Jordan Butler, Will Butler, Dayne Butler, Pat Butler, Keagan Daniel and Joseph Butler.
