Services for Elvia Arlene Butler, 85, of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m., Sat. Nov. 3, 2001 at Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Boles officiating.

Burial was held in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

She died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001 at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born Nov. 22, 1915 in Grand Saline, TX.

She married Richard Butler on June 29, 1935 in Emery, Hunt County, Texas.

She was a member of the Pentecostal Church and a homemaker. She moved to Lorenzo in 1963 from Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bennie Richard Butler, on July 5, 1995 and 3 grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband, Richard Butler of Lorenzo; three sons, Elzia Butler of Gunbarrel, TX; Richard A. Butler of Amarillo and Ronnie Butler of Kaufman, TX; three daughters, Wynonia Westbrook of Idalou, Sue Williams of Lubbock and Jo Ann Daniels of New Deal; 22 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
