Mrs. Mable Brockett, a Ralls resident for 55 years, was buried in Ralls Cemetery following 3 p.m. Thursday memorial services in First United Methodist Church of Ralls. The Rev. Vernon O´Kelly, pastor, officiated. Grandsons were pallbearers.

Mrs. Brockett, 75, succumbed at 5 p.m. Tuesday of last week in Lakeside Care Center in Lubbock following a brief illness.

She was married July 9, 1916 to Mike E. Brockett in Denton County. The Brocketts and the Charlie Ogle Sr. families came to Crosby County from Denton County in covered wagons. Mrs. Brockett and the late Mrs. Charlie Ogle Sr. were sisters.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Hoppes of Lubbock; two sons, Clifton W. Brockett of Lubbock and Merle E. Brockett of Alamogordo, NM; one sister, Mrs. Jeff Meek of Graham; 14 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Brockett was an aunt of A.F. Ogle, Pauline Hancock and Ted Hancock, all of Crosbyton.
