Ex-City Woman´s Funeral Tuesday
RALLS (Special) - Services for Dorothy Jene Brand, 35, former Lubbock resident who died in Los Angeles, Calif., Thursday of injuries received in a car crash there Monday, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ralls First Baptist Church.Officiating will be the pastor, the Rev. C.M. Fields. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home here.
Mrs. Brand had been a Lubbock resident for about 10 years before moving to Los Angeles four months ago. She was a native of Denison, a member of the Baptist Church and the Truth Chapter of Eastern Star in Lubbock.
Survivors include the husband, Bobby Brand, 310 Ave. Q; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce O´Brien, Los Angeles; a son, Jimmy Lawrence with the U.S. Navy in San Diego; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Fanning, 2411 47th St., and Mrs. Barbara Flowers, Lorenzo; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Bishop, Rt. 1, Ralls; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Essary, Bonham; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Bishop, Slaton, and one grandson.
