Services for Inda Bownds, 92, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1991, in the First Baptist church at Ralls, with the Rev. Dale Cain, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Lubbock, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Bownds died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 21, 1991, at her home. She was born in Madisonville, Texas, and moved form Hall County in 1922 to Crosby County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ralls and taught Sunday School for many years.

Mrs. Bownds was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Theadore Bownds, August 18, 1980; one son, Lester W. "Blacky" Bownds, 1977.

Survivors include one son, Sammie of Ralls; three daughters, Myra J. Timmons of Lubbock, Pat Bates of Idalou, and Peggy Campbell of Lorenzo; three brothers, Olan Poteet of Lockney, J.N. Poteet of Levelland, and Odell Poteet of Lubbock; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
