Services for Judith Merle "Judy" Bounds, 65, of Idalou will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Darwin Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Judy passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at her Idalou home. She was born Monday, December 17, 1945 in Lubbock to Coleman D. and Velma Rozelle (Pendley) McSpadden. She married Billy Bounds July 17, 1980 in Clovis, New Mexico. A member of the Lubbock First Baptist Church where she was active in the music ministry. She was a former member of the Ralls First Baptist Church. Judy moved to Idalou in 1992 from Ralls. She is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Sturgeon.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Bounds of Idalou, one son and his wife, Beau and Tammy Hamby of Stinnett, one daughter and her husband, Wendy and Randy Cain of Prosper, one stepson and his wife, Russell and Kay Bounds of Slaton, two stepdaughters and their husbands, Sheri and Terry Hurst of Lorenzo and Cindy and Buddy Townsend of Canyon, one brother and his wife, Robert and Jodie McSpadden of Lubbock, one sister and her husband Barbara and Bruce Boren of Lubbock, two precious grandsons, Kade and Cole Hamby of Stinnett, ten precious step-grandchildren and ten precious step-great grandchildren.
