RALLS - Services for Billie Bownds, 77, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Ralls with the Rev. Randy Bartley officiating.Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Friday, May 17, 2002.
She was born April 23, 1925, in Silver Valley and married Sammie Bownds on Feb. 21, 1947, in Ralls. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ralls, where she had been a Sunday school teacher for 30 years.
She was a 1944 graduate of Lorenzo High School and served as a Lorenzo 4-H leader. She had worked at Ralls Elementary School cafeteria and had been a school bus driver. She moved to the Ralls and Lorenzo area in 1941 from Coleman.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Lester of Lorenzo, Sammy Joe of Plainview, Ray Gene of Alvin and Kenneth of Garland; and eight grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church in Ralls.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
