Mr. Bloodworth Buried Oct. 22

Funeral services for David Elmer Bloodworth, 78, were held last Thursday at the First Methodist church with Rev. W. D. McReynolds officiating. He was assisted by Rev. John Jenkins, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. at the Ralls cemetery where interment was made.

Mr. Bloodworth came to Dickens County in 1942. He was a member of the First Methodist church and was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lucy Campbell, three sons: Loyd and Clifford Bloodworth, both of Lubbock and Robert Bloodworth, Lynnwood, CA; three daughters, Mrs. David Stell, Slaton; Mrs. Charles Ogle, Lubbock and Mrs. Bill Mitchell., Alexandria, VA and one stepson, Harold Campbell, Dallas.

One brother, Jim Bloodworth, Honey Grove and one sister, Mrs. Betty Birdwell of Dumas, also survive. There are eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were W. D. Blair, John Dunaway, Claud Barclay, Bill Schmidt, Floyd Hines and R. D. Hooper.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
