Marguerite (Scott) Bateman, 81, Eldorado died Friday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Ralls Cemetery in Ralls, Texas with Bill Osborne officiating.
She was born June 26, 1921 in Eldorado to Jesse L. and Acie B. (Stice) Scott. She graduated from Eldorado High School in 1939. She married Frank Lynch Jan. 29, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas. She worked for several years as a bookkeeper with the General Tire Company in Lubbock, retiring in the early 1970's. Her first husband, Frank Lynch, preceded her in death in June of 1973. She married Robert Batemen in Tulsa on Sept. 10, 1980. They made their home in Eldorado. He preceded her death in 2001. She was a member of the Eldorado Church of Christ for many years. She loved baking pies, gardening, fishing and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and brothers.
She is survived by two siblings, Clara Roache, Laurenceville, Ga., and Jesse Scott of Elddorado; many nieces, nephews and friends.
