Bill Autry, 85, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 in Ralls. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 18, 2013 in the Ralls Cemetery with Rev. Judy Shema, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Ralls, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am Monday until services time at the funeral home.
Bill was born August 5, 1927 in Marquez, Texas to Earl and Josephine Autry. Bill served his country in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He married Tama �Billie� Hinson in 1969. He was a truck driver for 52 years driving for S.B. Campbell Trucking, E.M. Truck, Lakewood Pipe, Glenn Walker, W. Red Ford, and several others. He was a former Deputy Sheriff in Crosby Co. and worked for the City of Ralls Police dept.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son: Ronald Cox and one brother: Joe Earl Autry.
He is survived by his wife: Billie Autry of Ralls, one daughter: Barbara Buxkemper and husband Gaylon of Slaton, three sisters: Maggie Smith of Abilene, Jessie Long of San Antonio and Kathryn Gallaugher of Pagosa Springs, CO, two grandsons, two granddaughters and seven great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 517 Watts, Ralls, TX 79357.
