Ash Funeral Held In Ralls Saturday

Services were held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. for Samuel Dean Ash of Ralls at Carter Funeral Chapel.

Ash, 84, died Jan. 2 in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. He was born in Indian Territory, Okla. March 18, 1889. He married Ethel Thompson, October 5, 1913 and moved to Ralls in 1936 from Dodson. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Cone Church of Christ.

Officiating at the services were Elba Hall of Ralls and Clark Johnson of Lubbock.

Interment was in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, two sons; Hugh F. of Ashland, Oregon, and J.D. of Grants Pass, Oregon; one daughter, Mrs. Loyse Bradshaw of Lorenzo; one sister, Mrs. Fannie McElroy of Hollis, Okla., seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
