Obituary

RALLS — Services for Earl Adkins, 67, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ralls First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002.

He was born May 14, 1935, in Rochester. He married Joyce Brown on April 19, 1995, in Lubbock. He was a nondenominational ordained minister and worked in ministries at Spur Prison and jails in Crosby and Floyd counties for six years. He was a farmer and attended Ralls schools. He moved to Ralls in 1994.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Carlos of Lubbock, Shannon of Lorenzo and Rance of Vernon; a stepson, Ray Lemon of Houston; two stepdaughters, Linda Page of Lubbock and Barbara Anderson of Floydada; a brother, Carl Adkins of Odessa; seven grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, Bobby Suggs of Lubbock.

The family suggests memorials to M.D. Anderson Hospital, Box 297153, Houston, TX 77292-1035.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
