Billie Butler Adams, son of Grace Hellen SMYER and Billy Christopher BUTLER, was born March 31, 1915 in Savage, Crosby Co., TX and died July 22, 1979. He married Oreta Fern FOREMAN June 20, 1946 in Idalou, Lubbock County, TX, daughter of Walter FOREMAN and Tillie TAACK. She was born December 07, 1925 in Idalou, Lubbock County, TX.

Obituary

Billy Adams U.S.Flag     Services for Billy Adams, 64, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church of Ralls with the Rev. Johnny Williams, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Crosbyton, and the Rev. Howard Marcum, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Ralls, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

He died at 11:05 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary´s Hospital in Lubbock after a long illness.

The retired farmer was born in Ralls and lived in that area all his life. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Disabled Veterans Organization. He also served on the Ralls school board.

Adams married Oreta (Sis) Foreman June 20, 1946, in Lubbock.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Chris of Lubbock; a daughter, Christie Ladd of Oceanside, Calif.; two brothers, Alvie and Jimmie, both of Ralls; and three sisters, Annie Phipps of Amarillo, Connie Griffith of Lubbock and Bonnie Howard of San Antonio.
