Obituary

Ralls (Special) — Services for Lyman Abell, 73, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Ralls with Hank Scott of Lubbock and the Rev. Ron Colwell, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

Abell died Friday, Feb. 9, 1996, at Mercy Regional Hospital in Laredo.

He was born in Lorenzo. He married Vee Collins, and she died in November 1958. He married Betty Bedingfield on March 12, 1960, in Roswell, N.M. He graduated from Ralls High School, and he was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was active in Boy Scouts, and he was a member of the Ralls Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, Rick Abell of Watauga, Ronnie of Irving, Mike of Ralls, Mark of Lewisville, Paul of Oskaloosa, Kan., and Todd of Abernathy; a brother, Earl C. of Ralls; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Sons will be pallbearers.

Grandsons will be honorary pallbearers.
