Services for Wilton Ray Sechrist, 60, of Lorenzo were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Brooks officiating. Burial was followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Wilton passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Lubbock's University Medical Center.

He was born April 26, 1946 in Ralls, Texas to the late Aaron Hosea and Mary Mildred (Kirksey) Sechrist. He lived in Lorenzo most of his life. He was a farmer and a member of the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church. Wilton was a graduate of Lorenzo High School and the Lee Lewis School of Electronics in Oklahoma City and he attended Tarleton State College for two years.

Survivors include four brothers, Albert, Robert and Alvin Sechrist, all of Lubbock and Gary Sechrist of Lorenzo and three sisters, Alva Arp of Ropesville, Mary Sechrist of Fort Worth and Camellia Deckelman of Lubbock.

Serving as casket bearers were Kenneth Sechrist, Kyle Sechrist, Matt Sechrist, Philip Sechrist, Darren Walters and Tammy Sechrist. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 1102 Slide Road, Lubbock, Texas 79416.
