Edith Scarbrough Photo LORENZO (Special) - Services for Edith Scarbrough, 63, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Bill Lacy, pastor, officiating, and the Rev. John Rankin assisting.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scarbrough died Tuesday morning in Methodist Hospital after a long illness. She had been a dialysis patient at the South Plains Dialysis Center for the past five years.

Born in Gertie, Okla., she moved to the South Plains from Wellington 47 years ago. She married J.O. Scarbrough Feb. 6, 1932, in Hollis, Okla. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lorenzo.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Billy Joe of Lorenzo, Edward of Wolfforth, Carroll of Lewisville, Ark., and Ronald of Grassland; a daughter, Delores Jennings of Lorenzo; two brothers, Hudson Lee of Coulterville, Calif. and Morris Lee of Lorenzo; three sisters, Agnes Akers of Coolidge, Ariz., Mary Hoofman of Riverbank, Calif., and Willie Beck of Modesto, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

J.O. Scarbrough Photo LORENZO (Special) Services for J.O. Scarbrough, 72, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Lorenzo with the Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Scarbrough died Saturday morning in Methodist Hospital.

He was born in Clearwater, Arizona and moved to the South Plains 50 years ago. He married Edith Lee on Feb. 6, 1932, in Hollis, OK. She died in 1979. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Joe and Ronald both of Lorenzo, the Rev. Edward of Lubbock and Carroll of Lewisville, Ark.; a daughter, Delores Jennings of Las Cruces, NM; two brothers, Grady of Lubbock and Boyce of Wichita, Kan.; four sisters, Effie Dick of Wichita, Kan., Quillie Tucker of Amarillo, Lora Weathersby of Houston and Viola Richardson of Irvin, KY.; 18 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
