LORENZO (Special) - Services for Wayne Pickard, 51, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor, and the Rev. John Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church in Petersburg, officiating.Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Pickard died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Jan. 17, 1948, in Levelland. He married Sharon Hill on Dec. 9, 1987, in Brownfield. He was a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church. He graduated from Lorenzo High School and Lubbock Christian College. He attended Texas Tech. He was a master of the Lorenzo Masonic Lodge 1144, and he was a member of Lorenzo Lions Club. He served on the Lorenzo City Council for six years.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Bill and Syble Pickard of Estacado; two sons, Jimmy Davis of Comfort and Scott Davis of Anton; a daughter, Karen Pinerton of Dallas; two brothers, Ed of Converse and Philip of Lorenzo; a sister, Ruthie Ann Barton of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren.

She died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Lubbock Covenant Medical Center.
She was born May 15, 1944, in Hunt County. She married Wayne Pickard on Dec. 9, 1987, in Brownfield. He died March 2, 1999. She attended Anton schools. She moved to Lorenzo from Lubbock in 1988. She was a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Davis of Comfort and Scotty Davis of Anton; a daughter, Karen Pinkerton of Dallas; her father, James Hill of Idalou; three brothers, Bill Hill of Smyer, Jim Hill of New Deal and Jacky Hill of Pflugerville; two sisters, Judy Howell of Colorado City and Lana Harrelson of Newman, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.
