Carol Ann Meeks, 69, of Lorenzo passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in Lubbock. Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 2, 2012, at the Lorenzo Cemetery, with Rev. Kris Knippa officiating. Arrangements were under the care of Adams Funeral Home-Lorenzo.
Carol was born on September 8, 1943, in Lubbock, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Trammel. She married the love of her life; Weldon Meeks July 24, 1967 in Seymour, they were friends for 48 years and married for 45 years. She loved working in the garden, going to garage sales, and was a pretty good painter. Carol didn�t go to church much but, watched Rev. John Hagee every Sunday; a good Christian women and loved the word of God and Jesus. She loved playing Texas Hold�em; and enjoyed spending time with her family. Carol was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to many.
Survivors include her husband, Weldon Meeks of Lorenzo, her two daughters, Lisa Powell and Donnie of Lorenzo, Valerie Black and Eddie of Hobart OK, one son, Randy Meeks and Sonja of Lubbock, her siblings, Walter Forbis of Black Hills Canyon, AZ., Wanell Boyd of Conroe, Roger Trammel of Buffalo Springs, Mike Trammel of Lubbock, Kathy Naylor of Lubbock, Debbie Camfield of San Angelo, Danny Trammel of San Angelo, Denise Michael of Austin, Tammy Meeks of Austin, Darla Dixon of Loxley AL., five grandchildren, Brandon Powell, Jennifer Peak, Chad Powell, Stephanie Pagent, Danielle Black and four great grandchildren.
