Services for Juan DeDios Zaragoza Jr., 24, of Lorenzo were at 11 a.m., March 14, [Tuesday] at San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo with the Rev. Roland Buxkemper officiating.

Rosary was said at 7 p.m., Monday at the same church with the same officiant.

Burial with full military honors was in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died Thursday, March 9, 2000, near Fort Hood, TX.

He was born Jan. 3, 1976, in Slaton, TX.

He married Pamela Martinez on Feb. 13, 1999, in Lubbock.

He was a member of San Lorenzo Catholic Church. He was a 1995 graduate of Roosevelt High School. He was a private first class in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Hood, where he was in the 1st Cavalry Tank Division. He was a resident of Acuff and Midway most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Zaragoza, of Lorenzo; one son, Ryne Zaragoza, of Lorenzo; one daughter, Adrianna Zaragoza, of Lorenzo; his parents, Juan and Maria Zaragoza, of Acuff; one brother, Jaime Zaragoza, of Acuff; two sisters, Lisa and Amanda Zaragoza, both of Acuff; and his maternal grandmother, Luz Zaragoza, of Raymondville, TX.
