LORENZO (Special) Services for Thomas W. Young, 68, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. today at Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Harold Harrison, pastor of First Baptist Church of Whiteface, assisting.
Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center.
He was born July 5, 1931 in Clarksville.
He married Glendean Hubbard on Jan. 17, 1953, in Clovis. He was a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church. He graduated from Robertson High School. He was a member of the Lorenzo Volunteer Fire Department and had worked with the Boy Scouts. He was a truck driver and a farmer. He moved to Lorenzo in 1941.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ted Douglas Young of Lockney; a daughter, Carrie Dean Young of Whiteface; a brother, Glenn of Lorenzo; and two grandchildren.

Services for Glendean Young, 76, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. Wed., May 5, 2010 at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Glendean passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Lubbock Health Care Center. She was born Oct. 14, 1933 in Edmond, Oklahoma to the late Glen and Berniece (Jones) Hubbard. On Jan. 17, 1953 she married Thomas Young in Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1999.
A graduate of Plainview High School, Glendean was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church and managed the Lorenzo Senior Citizens for ten years. She enjoyed sewing, needlework and reading.
Glendean was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Ann Posada.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Ted and Kathy Young of Lockney; a daughter, Carrie Young of Whiteface; a brother, John Hubbard of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Kacie and Andrew Connally of Midland and Ty Young of Stephenville.
