Obituary

LORENZO (Special) — Services for Ira Freddie Ware, 56, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Sidney Parsley, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Ware died at 9:15 p.m. Monday in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Brownfield and moved to Lorenzo in 1975 from Spur. He was a cotton ginner and was a Baptist. He married Billie Munden on Feb. 14, 1946, in Spur.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, Jesse of Amarillo, Jerry of Millington, Tenn., David of Floydada and Michael, Dilton and Gary, all of Lorenzo; two daughters, Rita Tilley of Lone Star and Linda Douglas of Lorenzo; his mother, Mary Ella Ware of Lovington, NM; a brother, Edwin of Comanche; two sisters, Agnes Joiner and Deiva Turner, both of Lovington, NM; and 12 grandchildren.

photoServices for Billie Ruth Ware, 81, of Lorenzo will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Bobby Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Mrs. Ware passed away Monday evening at her Lorenzo residence with her family by her side. She was born Aug. 23, 1928 in Sneedville, Texas to the late Jess D. and Willie Adel (Jobe) Munden. She married Ira Freddie Ware on Feb.14, 1946 in Spur, Texas. He preceded her in death June 8, 1981.

Billie moved to Lorenzo in 1975 from Floydada. She was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church and worked as a cook at the Lorenzo Senior Citizens.

She is survived by six sons, Jesse of Clovis, N.M., Jerry of Merkel, David of Austin, Michael of Ralls, Dilton of Lorenzo and Gary of Lubbock; and two daughters, Rita Tilley of Lone Star, Texas and Lynda Douglas of Lorenzo; 28 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
