Accident Victim Is Buried At Lorenzo, Nov. 6

Funeral services for O.H. Walker, Jr., 23, of Lorenzo were held Saturday at the Lorenzo Methodist church. Morgan Sturgess, Church of Christ minister, officiated, assisted by Rev. H.J. West, Baptist pastor, and Rev. George Bryant, Methodist pastor.

The deceased passed away Nov. 4 in a Lubbock hospital from injuries suffered in a combine accident at his father's farm near Lorenzo, Nov. 1.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. O.H. Walker, Sr. He was born in Lorenzo Dec. 30, 1924, where he was reared and attended high school. Walker was married 14 months ago in Phoenix, Ariz., to Miss Afton Arleen Deatherage of Salt Lake City. The couple have made their home at Lorenzo since.

Survivors beside the wife and parents include three brothers, Jimmy, Billy and Donald Walker; one sister, Mrs. Leon Williams, all of Lorenzo; a grandfather, G.S. Walker of Dublin and grandmother, Mrs. W.B. Williams of Ralls.

Pallbearers were: Sonny Cates, J.C. Dycus, James Pearson, Jack Harris, Wilburn Gray, Jimmy Huckaby, E.C. Lackey and Earl Reynolds.

Burial was in Lorenzo cemetery with Marr funeral home in charge.

Out of town relatives attending the services included: Mr. an Mrs. Roy Williams and son, Bobby, of Beaumont; Mr. and Mrs. Clark Williams and daughter, Dana Kay, of Douglas, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Pendergrass, Mary and Evans Ray, and Mrs. Dorothy Conklin and son, Bob, all of Hale Center; and Mr. and Mrs. Uriel Oliver and Patricia of Gladewater.
