Ray Timms of Lorenzo, a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather entered into eternal life on July 3, 2006 in Lorenzo at the age of 66.
He was born August 17. 1939 in Winters to James Leroy and Susan Lois Condra Timms. Ray married Cheryl Billings on July 4, 1959 in Lubbock. They moved to Lorenzo from Lubbock in 1997. Ray was a supervisor at Texas Instruments in Lubbock. He was preceded in death by his father, five brothers, one sister, and one son-in-law.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Cheryl; his mother, Susan; two sons, Paul Timms of Lubbock and Brian Timms of Tulsa, Okla.; four daughters, Cindy Mason of Lorenzo, Kim Abell of Lubbock, Tracy Clark of Claremore, Okla. and Lisa Van Meter of Spring Branch; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three brothers, Travis, Alvin, and Billy Timms; and six sisters, Nita Condra, Frances Long, Dolly Bullard, Pearl Shelton, Nancy Coppedge and Rita Thompson.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 at the Lorenzo Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Williams officiating.
The family will greet friends at White Funeral Home in Idalou, Thursday , July 6, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m.
The family suggest memorials may be made to Lubbock Vista Care Hospice, 1717 Norfolk Ave. Bldg. A, Lubbock, Tx. 79416.
Funeral arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Idalou.
