U.S.Flag   Services for John Arden Taylor, 61, of Lubbock were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 1998, in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor, officiating.

Burial with military honors followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Mr. Taylor died at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 1998, in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital following an illness.

He was born April 29, 1937, in Parker County, TX, and married Gail Dilli Anderson on April 13, 1998. he was a physician. He was a major in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a flight surgeon stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. He moved to Lorenzo in May of 1992 from Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Taylor of Lubbock; his mother, Fannie Taylor of Lorenzo; two sons, Rex Taylor of Safety Harbor, FL, and Vance Taylor of Tarpon Springs, FL; a daughter, Lisa Hale of Tarpon Springs, FL; a brother, Garland Taylor of Albuquerque, NM; and a sister, Lana Nan Craig of Hobbs, NM.
