Services for Hugh L. Smith, 93, of Hereford, who died Monday in St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church.The Rev. Wayne Perry of Lubbock and Dewitt Seago of King's Manor Methodist Home, Inc., in Hereford officiated.
Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home of Ralls.
Smith, a native of Louisiana, was married to the former Minnie Catching in October, 1905.
She died Jan. 16, 1948.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Wright of Wilcox, AZ; three sons, Morris (Cotton) of Heckville. R.B. of Wilcox, AZ, and Donald of Petersburg; 15 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
He was a brother-in-law of Joe Catching and Mrs. Mittie Hughes of Lorenzo.
