Services for Buster Smith, 87, of Lorenzo were at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2001 at Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Dennis Williams officiating.Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
He died Friday, May 18, 2001, at Lubbock's Covenant Hospital.
He was born Aug. 27, 1913, in Quail, TX.
He married Opal Hammet on Jan. 10, 1933, in Hollis, OK. She died Sept. 10, 2000.
He was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church where he was a deacon and sang in the choir. He was a retired farmer. He moved from Wellington to Ralls in 1946, then to Lorenzo in 1951.
Survivors include one sister, Vaudell Wilson of Lubbock.
