Funeral services for Marian Slain, 63, of Lorenzo were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Carter-Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor of Lorenzo First Baptist Church and the Rev. Jerry Klaverweiden of Miami, officiated.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home

Mrs. Slain died Friday in Crosbyton Clinic after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Fort Wayne, Ind. She was a bookkeeper. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. She moved to Lorenzo five months ago.

Survivors include a son, Mike of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two daughters, Vicki Ryder of Alexandria, La. and Marylee Brown of Lorenzo; two brothers, George Armstrong of Auburn, Ind., and Paul Armstrong of Fort Wayne; and seven grandchildren.
