LORENZO (special) Services for G.E. "Ed" Scoggin, 91, of Lorenzo will be at 4 p.m. today at the Lorenzo Church of Christ with L.V. "Blackie" Ellison, minister at Jal, NM, officiating, assisted by Ralph Moore, Lorenzo minister.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.

Scoggin died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Central Plains Hospital in Plainview after a brief illness.

The San Saba County native married the former Winnie Irene White Dec. 7, 1970 in Lorenzo, having moved here in 1935 from Mercury.

He was a member of the Lorenzo Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Altha May Dycus of Floydada; a son, Robert Edward of Rochester, Minn.; two sisters, Vera Epps of Houston and Jessie Mae Epps of Amarillo; a brother, H.L. of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
