Funeral services were held for Clayton W. Sanders, 62, in Hereford Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. David Morris, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bob Huffaker, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene.

Graveside services were conducted at 4 p.m. at the Lorenzo Cemetery.

Sanders died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at Deaf Smith General Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in [Lorenzo] Texas, he married Mary Nalls on August 1, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nev. A former Lorenzo resident, he had lived in the Hereford area 21 years. His wife died last year. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin of Hereford and Roger of Van Horn; two daughters, Linda Arbeiter of South Dakota and Colleen Nash of Corpus Christi; her parents Mr. and Mrs. O.D. Nalls of Devol, OK; five brothers, six sisters; and seven grandchildren.
