Services for Valentin T. Rodriguez, 54, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo with the Rev. Roland Buxkemper officiating. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at the same church with the same officiant.Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
He died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born April 17, 1948, in Ralls.
He was a member of the Catholic church and the Knights of Columbus. He attended schools in Lorenzo and San Marcos.
Survivors include a son, Tim Rodriquez of Lubbock; a daughter, Monica Rivera of Lubbock; four brothers, Julian "Julio" Rodriquez and Santiago Rodriquez, both of Lubbock, and Aurelio Rodriquez and Rufus Rodriquez, both of Lorenzo; three sisters, Gloria Rodriguez and Janie Martinez, both of Lorenzo, and Irma Holub of Schulenburg; and 12 grandchildren.
