Services for Concepcion Rodriguez, 62, of Lubbock were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo with the Rev. Roland Buxkemper officiating. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock. Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
She died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, at IHS Hospital.
She was born Dec. 6, 1940, in San Antonio. She married Alfonzo Rodriguez, Sr., on July 12, 1978. He died Mar. 3, 1994. She is also preceded in death by two sisters and her parents. She was a volunteer for community service for several years.
Pallbearers were Albert Mendoza, Jr., Antonio C. Mendoza, Rudolfo Velasquez, Jr., Adam Velasquez, Matthew Velasquez, Leo Solis, Robert and Lee Dobbins, Jr.,
Survivors include eight daughters, Susie Mendoza of Lorenzo, JoAnn Arguello of Lubbock, Gloria Velasquez of Ralls, Mary Zamora of San Jose, CA, Francis Solis, Martha Hernandez, Lisa Dobbins, and Amnanda Rodriquez, all of Lubbock; three sons, Jessie Solis, Jr., Alfonzo Rodriguez, Jr., and Alonzo Rodriguez, all of Lubbock; 28 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
