Services for Mary Rainwater, 79, of Lorenzo were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2001, at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Golden officiating and the Rev. Dennis Williams assisting.Burial was in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
She died Monday, January 1, 2001, at Autumn House in Idalou.
She was born March 10, 1921, in Oklahoma. She married Willard Rainwater on Oct. 13, 1939, in Spiro, Okla. He died Nov. 9, 1999.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lorenzo. She moved to Lorenzo in 1939 from Oklahoma. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Jessica Aryn Mount on September 27, 1995.
Survivors include one son, Ray Rainwater of Bastrop; one daughter, Judy Wallace of Lorenzo; one brother, William Bradshaw of Ferris, TX; three grandchildren, Scotty Wallace and Stephanie Mount, both of Lorenzo, and Robin Oppel of Bastrop; and six great-grandchildren, Morgan and Jordyn Oppel, Alec and Ryan Wallace, and Avery and Adrea Mount.
