LORENZO (Special) - Andrew Jackson Pyles, 71, of Lorenzo died at 11:30 p.m. Friday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock following a long illness.

Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday in the Lorenzo Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Jenkins, pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Roy Pyles. Burial will be in the Lorenzo Cemetery. Carter Funeral Home in Ralls is handling arrangements.

A native of Arkansas, Pyles worked in all phases of cotton marketing. He moved to Lorenzo in 1952 from Morris, OK.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel of the home; a son, Charles of Overland Park, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Holder of Levelland; five brothers, Arthur of Dallas, Dowell of Yuba City, Calif., and Earl, Ray, and Archie, all of Fort Smith, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Sue McFarlin of Fort Smith; and a grandchild.
