Services for Antonio Proa, 68, of Lorenzo were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2001 at San Lorenzo Catholic Church with the Rev. Roland Buxkemper officiating.
Rosary was said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at San Loreno Catholic Church.
Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
He died Monday, April 30, 2001 at his Lorenzo residence.
He was born May 10, 1932, in San Marcos.
He married Manuela Landin on Jan. 25, 1953, in Martindale.
He was a member of the San Lorenzo Catholic Church and the Men's Catholic Society. He worked for Hurst Farm Supply. He moved to Lorenzo in 1957 from Martindale.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Antonio Jr. of Dublin, Adrian and Michael, both of Lubbock, Mario of Ralls, and Alfonso and Jerry, both of Lorenzo; six daughters, Sally Villegas, Patricia Majors and Diane Ware, all of Lorenzo, Mary Kingery and Suzie Proa, both of Austin, and Lisa Roden of Petersburg; four sisters, Odelia Cisneros of Kyle, Christina Gonzales of Lockhart and Adelia Moreno and Janie Gonzales, both of De Leon; a half-brother, Xavier Munoz of San Marcos; and 18 grandchildren.

Rosary for Manuela Landin Proa, 75, of Lorenzo will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday and 7:00 pm Sunday at San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Monday, May 10, 2010 at the same church with Rev. Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Manuela passed away May 6, 2010 at her Lorenzo residence with her family by her side.
She was born July 19, 1934 in Martindale, Texas to the late Charlie and Paula (Rangel) Landin. On January 25, 1953 she married Antonio Proa in Martindale, Texas. He preceded her in death April 30, 2001.
Manuela was a homemaker and moved to Lorenzo in 1958. She was a member of the San Lorenzo Catholic Church where she served on the food committee and had served as president of the Ladies Catholic Services.
Survivors include six sons; Antonio Proa, Jr. and wife Lee Ann of Stephenville, Adrian Proa and Michael Proa, both of Lubbock, Mario Proa and wife Trisha of Ralls, Alfonso Proa and Jerry Proa both of Lorenzo, six daughters and their husbands; Sally and Omar Villegas, Patricia and Mark Majors and Diane and Dee Ware, all of Lorenzo, Mary and Tom Kingery of Austin, Lisa and Tommy Roden of Petersburg and Susan and Ken Nauman of Lubbock.
Also surviving are five brothers, Charlie Landin of Lubbock, Victor Landin and Isreal Landin, both of Lorenzo, Juan Landin of Austin and Armando Landin of San Antonio, four sisters; Mary Martinez of Lubbock and Dora Perales, Lucy Deleon and Gloria Cisneros, all of Lorenzo and 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
