Winnie RabunServices for Winnie Bell Blevins Pierot Rabun, 93, of Lubbock will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at Sanders Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Bill Starcher. Interment will be in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rabun died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004. She was born to the late Gaines and Mattie Blevins Sept. 19, 1911 in Keller. She moved to Petersburg in 1920, and then to Lorenzo in 1924. She married Leon Pierot Dec. 24, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1953. She owned and operated the Drug Store in Lorenzo from 1943 to 1965.

Harold Wayne Pierot, a son, also preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1977.

After selling the store in Lorenzo, she went to work for Hemphill-Wells. She then married Everett Rabun April 14, 1970. He preceded her in death Dec. 9, 1987. She was past worthy matron and a member of the Eastern Star, and past mother advisor for the Rainbow Girls. She served as the pianist for the First Baptist Church in Lorenzo for 24 years before her marriage to Mr. Rabun. She placed membership at Broadway Church of Christ after her marriage. She served as membership chairman for the L.C.U. Associates and was a member of the Chapel Bible Class.

Two granddaughters, Roxanne Pierot and Tiffany Pendergraft; and a great-granddaughter also preceded her in death. Survivors include a brother, Horace Blevins of Lubbock; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be made to L.C.U. Associates or to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
