Rosary for Guadalupe Rios Picasso, 67, of Lorenzo, was held at 7:00 PM Monday, February 5, 2007 in the San Lorenzo Catholic Church. Mass was held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 6, 2007 in the same church with Rev. Roland Buxkemper officiating.Burial followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Mrs. Picasso passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007 in Lubbock's VistaCare Center.
She was born January 16, 1940 in Pearsall, Texas to the late Santiago and Josefa (Rodriquez) Rios. She moved to Lorenzo in 1960 from Lubbock. She was a homemaker, a member of the San Lorenzo Catholic Church and Guadalupanas Society.
Survivors include two sons; John A. Gallegos of Lubbock and Joseph Christopher Gallegos of Lorenzo, a daughter; Maria Picasso of Lorenzo, a brother; Santiago R. Rios of Lorenzo, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were; Santiago Rios, Jr., Jacinto Vasquez, Guillermo Garcia, Raleigh Hudzietv, Reyes DeLeon and Joe Angle DeLeon.
