Funeral services for Ida Mae Pearson, 70, of Laguna Vista, TX, were held Thursday, June 20, 1991, at the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Watson officiating, assisted by Dr. Jerry Golden, pastor of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery.

Memorial services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 1991, in the Chapel by the Sea at South Padre Island.

She was born April 8, 1921, in Lorenzo. She was a beauty operator and was also active in real estate. She moved to South Padre Island in 1958 from Lorenzo. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Madison Pearson, July 2, 1978. They were married July 15, 1958, in Corpus Christi.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers, James George Williams and Rex E. Williams, and a sister, Eloise Gray.

Survivors include one son, Adam Pearson of Harlingen; a sister-in-law, Avis Williams of Muleshoe; and one nephew, James D. Williams of Farwell, TX; one great nephew, Rance Williams of Tyrone, OK; and one great niece, Jennifer Brown of Guymon; OK; two granddaughters, Tacy Pearson and Casi Mae Pearson of Brownsville, TX.
