U.S.Flag Graveside services for Roy O'Rear, 85, of Lorenzo were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at Lorenzo Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Williams officiating and Rev. Gary Boles assisting.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

He died Sat. Sept. 18, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born Sept. 5, 1914 in Desdemona, TX.

He was a member of the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church. He worked at Corner Grocery Store for many years and retired in 1979. He was also a member of the Lorenzo Masonic Lodge #1144. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Army as a Military Policeman. He moved to Lorenzo in 1919.

Survivors include two brothers, S.E. O'Rear and George Grady O'Rear both of Lorenzo.
