Services for Horace Norman, 74, of Lorenzo were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 1987 in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Golden, pastor and Rev. Dickie Patterson of Plano, officiating.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Norman died at 4:20 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 1987 at St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock following a sudden illness.

He was born October 23, 1912 in Garland County, Arkansas and married Cora Keen July 21, 1935 in Vera, Texas. He was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church. He had managed and retired from Criswell Conoco Consignee Oil Co. in Lorenzo. He had lived in Lorenzo for 42 years.

Survivors include: Wife: Cora Norman; 2 sons, Bobby Dan Norman of Seymour, Texas, Sam R. Norman of Lubbock; 3 daughters, Jan Bownds of Plainview, Beth Marlar of Lorenzo, and Nita Stone of Ralls; 2 brothers, Seymour Norman of Dallas and Leonard Norman of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 2 sisters, Nellie Powell of Hot Springs, Ark., and Oleta Baird of Rule, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
