Funeral services for Patricia Ruth "Pat" Nickson, 46, of Lorenzo were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Lorenzo Church of Christ with John McCoy and Mark Tidwell, ministers, officiating.Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Nickson died at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident one mile southwest of Lorenzo. She was pronounced dead at the hospital by Justice of the Peace McKinley Shephard.
She was a native of Crosybton and later married Don C. Nickson on Sept. 1, 1955. They moved to Lorenzo in 1965. Mrs. Nickson had been a rural carrier for the Lorenzo Post Office for several years. In addition, she was an active member of the Lorenzo Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School. She also was active in Girl Scouts.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Alan of Amarillo and Mark of Canyon; a daughter, Donna Sims of Canyon; her parents, Allen and Emma Mize of Crosbyton; a brother, Wilbur Mize of Lockney; and four grandchildren.
