Services for David Cameron Moore, 29, of 4711 42nd, Lubbock were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the First United Methodist Church in Lorenzo with the Rev. James Holman, pastor, officiating.Burial was in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Ralls.
Moore was dead on arrival at Methodist Hospital late Friday after he reportedly was shot during a scuffle at a southwest Lubbock residence.
Justice of the Peace F. H. Bolen was withholding a ruling Saturday in Moore's death, pending further investigation and results of an autopsy.
A native of Oklahoma City Moore moved to Lubbock from Alvarado in 1951 then moved to Lorenzo in 1954 and was a 1961 graduate of Lorenzo High School. He recently returned to Lubbock, where he was attending classes at Texas Tech University. He was doing practice teaching at Coronado High School in Lubbock and was to graduate in August 1972.
He was married to the former Sue Parchman in Lorenzo on Dec. 22, 1961.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Fate and a daughter, Barbara Ann, both of the home; his mother, Mrs. Ruth Moore of Lorenzo; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Mae Howell of Fort Worth; two brothers, Gary of Brownfield and Paul of Lorenzo; and two sisters, Mrs. Suzanna Smith of Brownfield and Mrs. Martha Pepper of Amarillo.
Pallbearers were Max Joiner, Gary Setleff, Dick Patterson, Arthur Miller II, Thomas Young, C. E. Killion and Clifford Brashears.
